After the success of our Christmas collaboration, we are delighted to have teamed up with The Mill at Sonning to bring you one of our flower arranging workshops followed by afternoon tea at their beautiful theatre in Sonning.
This workshop is perfectly timed as we transition into Spring. Participants will draw inspiration from the season, crafting their floral arrangements using stunning, fresh seasonal flowers, which they can take home at the end of the session.
Our course will last for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, followed by afternoon tea (with or without a glass of prosecco) in the waterwheel bar from 2.30pm.
Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements or mobility requirements so we can endeavour to make adjustments to meet your needs. Our floral workshop may take place in an area of Sonning Mill that does not currently have lift access.

After the success of our Christmas collaboration, we are delighted to have teamed up with The Mill at Sonning to bring you one of our flower arranging workshops followed by afternoon tea at their beautiful theatre in Sonning. Our course will last for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, followed by afternoon tea from 2.30pm.
It’s no coincidence that our workshop is timed to run to coincide with the season of their Calendar Girls production. A heartwarming and hilarious play by Tim Firth based on a true story and the hit 2003 film. If you hadn’t noticed, the film also includes a plethora of beautiful blooms! Our Flower Arranging followed by Afternoon Tea takes inspiration from the film. It includes making floral arrangements with gorgeous seasonal flowers.
Our workshop starts in the Theatre on the set where the Calendar Girls performance will be taking place. We talk through the flowers seen in the Calendar Girls production and more generally about how to condition flowers and in particular the seasonal flowers we will be using during our flower arranging course. We then move into the restaurant where each participant will be shown the technique of how to make a stunning hand tied bouquet of fresh cut flowers to place in a glass fish bowl.
The fish bowl is chosen for it’s sustainability, it’s ease to transport home or to your chosen destination without compromising on the beauty of your arrangement. We’ll also discuss and demonstrate other arrangements you could make using your fish bowl in future so your vase can continue to be utilised for future flower arrangements and just like Calendar Girls, stand the test of time!
Our course will be followed by afternoon tea in the restaurant and please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements.
Free parking is available at the theatre.
